100% Veg, 100% LIT: The Bangalore Cafe

Restaurant: The Bangalore Cafe, K. H. Road, Shanthinagar, Bengaluru, IN.

Located in the heart of Shanthinagar, this is one of the very few food destinations in the vicinity, esp 100% veg.  Visited the place with friends over lunch, well more of a contemporary one. The huge list of order included:
Mango Shake: Mango milkshake with raw mango garnish. This was one of the only item to score an average, because it lacked the punch of Mango in it. A little more of mango pulp/puree or for that matter, mango ice cream would have been great.
Sinful Moments Salad: creamy salad to start the meal with!
Khatta Meeta Pani Puri: Wonderful presentation, and even more tasty pani puri!!
Chatpate Cones: Order this when you want to relish the mysterious filling inside the phaphda crisp cones. Liked the preparation and presentation.
Bombay Gate Sandwich: A sandwich in a restaurant, can never get so close to making you feel at Bombay.
Bharela Cheese Pot: Kebab with a cheese filling and a Nacho chip, good item to munch during conversations.
Tandoori Cigar: Cigar without tobacco? Nah.. Yes, this stuffed Romali roti, is smoked with fresh tobacco leaves. You can really get the aroma of it.
Cheese Kala Pav Bhaji: Mumbai style pav with kala bhaji and loaded cheese. I would recommend it as a perfect eat on a raining evening.
Three Cheese Pasta: One of the very few places where I have liked this pasta. well made, creamy and balanced cheesy notes. It lacked a pinch of salt and pepper, but that’s a personal preference.
Cottage Cheese Steaks: Well cooked cottage cheese, right amount of bbq sauce resulted in a good steak. Rice served along, could have been more flavorful, it was kind of bland.
Pizza: On request, we were served a 50:50 of Chef’s loaded pizza and Basil Pesto with cherry tomato. One of the best sour dough pizza in Bengaluru, so light and not chewy! the toppings were loaded graciously and never was there a need for some oregano or chilli flakes.
Coffee Rasmalai with Ice Cream: Who could have thought that such a combination would be good? But to our surprise, it was totally worthy!
Nutella Baked Cookies: This is one loaded dessert, with roasted walnuts, Nutella, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and a big portion of brownie, Nutella chip cookies and ice cream.

This is definitely one of the best fine dining veg cafes in Bengaluru.
